SHUT DOWN NATO is an assembly of groups and individuals from the autonomous and anti-authoritarian movement that opposes NATO, militarisation, and war. We stand in solidarity with emancipatory movements all over the world and we fight against states, imperialism, capitalism and authoritarianism.
We call for resistance against NATO and any manifestation of militarized oppression, be it the ReArm Europe 2030 Plan, or any other so-called “collective security” pact or army. We organize together and we reject the false choices of nationalism. We reject the false idea that NATO is there to protect. We reject the brutality of militarism and the martial doctrines of war.
We stand side by side with those suffering under NATOs military operations. We do not stand by “our” nation state, its alliances, orany national interest. These are the interests of the political and economic elite. We stand against any kind of authority, and side by side with those who resist and revolt, those who are being oppressed and exploited. We are the enemy within!
We refuse to participate in any army for the interests of capital and the glory of any nation or state. We show solidarity with all conscientious objectors and total draft resisters. We continue social and class struggles against militarism, the destruction of nature, and patriarchy, until total liberation. Our resistance in Helsingborg constitutes another act of anti-state, anti-authoritarian, and anti-militarist struggle. These struggles must turn into a priority and practice across the entire planet. We stand for solidarity beyond borders and actions of resistance that aim to dismantle every form of militarism. Our response to interstate alliances, states, armies, and calls for national unity is refusal of submission: total draft refusal, demonstrations, strikes, sabotage, clashes, and every means of struggle — to end the exploitation of humans by humans, nature by humans, to eliminate divisions of oppressors and subordinates. For a world where solidarity and mutual aid are fundamental elements. For this world, we call to Helsingborg and we will fight until the end.
